The 1993 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Round 2 was a Touring Car meeting that was held on 11 April 1993 at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. The race was contested over 1 12 lap sprint race and 1 24 lap feature race and was the second round of the 1993 British Touring Car Championship.
Background[]
Heading into the meeting, Mike Bell was leading the Overall and Manufacturer Drivers' Championship by 5 points from Lorenzo Turri. However, it was Turri's team, Team Mondeo was leading the Manufacturer's Team Championship by six points from Nissan Castrol Racing.
