The 1991 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Round 1 was a Touring Car meeting that was held on 14 April 1991 at the Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire, England. The race was contested over 3 twelve lap sprint races and was the first round of the 1991 British Touring Car Championship and was the first ever meeting in the STSR British Touring Car Championship.

The first ever round of the STSR British Touring Car Championship was officially confirmed as the first of thirty-one races of the 1991 British Touring Car Championship. The race took place at the eleven-turn, 3.793 km (2.35 mi) Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire, England on 14 April 1991.

Twelve drivers representing seven teams entered the race. Auto Trader Techspeed Team, BMW Team Listerine, Nissan Janspeed Racing, Kaliber ICS Team Toyota and Vauxhall Sport each entered two cars and ACE Motorsport and BMW Team Labatts both entered single cars.
