Manderson Round 6 edit

John Maguire Racing was awarded the works contract to build the Mitsubishi Galant for the British Touring Car Championship Championship starting in 1991. John Maguire Racing arrived at Brands Hatch for the fourth round of the 1991. Using a Galant, Adam Manderson drove the sole entry to the championship. However, the Galant was off the pace from the beginning and struggled for decent race results. John Maguire Racing developed the car and by the 7th round at Knockhill, the Galant received a boost in performance following a rigorous testing program. Also for Round 7, a second car was announced, to be driven by Italian driver Lorenzo Turri. Turri's arrival coincided with an improvement on the track. Turri managed 4 victories before the end of the season and a best result of 4th for Manderson, the team managed to finish 3rd in the Manufacturer Teams championship. However, even with the improvement in the second part of the season, Mitsubishi withdrew from the BTCC and wouldn't be on the grid for 1992.
